Author Guidelines

Jurnal SIFO Mikroskil (JSM) accepts original manuscripts that have never been published at home/abroad in the form of journals or proceedings. Manuscripts can produce research results articles in information and communication technology (ICT).

A. Systematics of Writing

  1. Title, provides an overview of the research that has been done. Research variables and relationships between variables as well as information that is considered important (for example the method /algorithm) The length of a successful article title is 5-20 words. Title written with font size 18 and CAPITAL LETTERS and written in the middle (Middle)
  2. Author's / Researcher's name, written without obtaining an academic degree or other degree and placed under the research title which is written by the name of the researcher (Write sideways for the second researcher and so on). Under the name of the researcher, place the researcher where the researcher sent the e-mail address of each researcher. The full name with the title of each researcher is written as a footnote on page 1 of the article.
  3. Abstracts and Key Words, written in Indonesian/English which are published descriptions of problems and research objectives, methods used and research results. Pressure given to the results of the study. The abstract length is agreed between 100-200 words. Abstracts are completed with key words (3 - 7) written in italic (italic)
  4. Introduction, contains (1) research problems, (2) insight / problem solving plan, (3) research objectives and research studies and (4) research space.
  5. Literature Review, contains studies that support research. The formula is given a sequential number. The quote is done with [reference number]
  6. Research Methodology, describes the research carried out, which is a description of the steps taken in carrying out research. The main material in this section are: (1) problem description or research design, (2) pseudocode procedure, flowchart or system model), (3) system planning, and (4) manufacturing planning. The sub-section that should be given by providing multilevel numbering (if needed).
  7. Research Results and Discussion, Research Results and Discussion of the Results Obtained Answering Research Questions. Submission of research results can help by using tables, graphics or other forms / formats of communication. Charts and tables must be explained in body articles. If the presentation is long enough it can be divided into several sub-sections.
  8. Conclusion, Presentation from the Description of Research Results and Discussion. From the results of the research and discussion, the ideas of the (new) mind are developed which are the essence of the research findings.
  9. References, Written using a general guide that contains the sources referenced in the article update. Citation (reference) in the agreed article on the Vancouver system (using sequential numbering methods / using square brackets on numbers).

 

B. Format for Writing and Other Provisions

Articles are neatly typed in one column format and A4 paper size, single space, Times New Roman font size 11 and 3,3,2,2 margins and format for reciprocity

  1. The length of the article is at least 10 pages and a maximum of 15 pages including references.
  2. All pages including bibliography and attachments are given page numbers.
  3. Each table or image is given a serial number, a title that matches the contents of the table or image and the source of the quote written under the table or image, if the image is taken from the reference source (one of the references). The image title is placed below the image, while the table title is placed above the table.
  4. All types of formulas are written using Mathematical Equations (for MS Word users in the Insert section => Equations), including Division, Sigma, Root, Matrix, Integral, Limit / Log, Rank, and so on.
  5. All types of symbols use standard symbols that are in Word Processor (for MS Word users in the Insert => Symbol section)

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; Time New Roman, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
